Bringing festival organiser Chan Uoy's vision to life, locals Mayhla Howells, Shirl King, Carol Webb and Glenn Barry have measured, placed eyelets and sewn to create the eye-catching red-and-white striped walls of sustainable and reusable fabric.

Ms Howells designed the structure and sewed, alongside Ms King and Ms Webb, 750 metres of red-and-white material and 50 metres of blue material for the entry and exit.

More than 400 hours have been put in by Ms Howells to design, measure, sew and finetune the 22 panels.

Mr Barry lent his expertise on the eyelets, and many others pitched in for a trial run.

Construction of the tent is now finished with volunteers are ready to take on the next task of ironing the panels and then putting it up to make the venue festival-ready.

Anyone who would like to help iron the fabric is encouraged to contact Chan Uoy.
