Green thumbs return to farm
Last month, a group of volunteers continued their annual tree planting efforts on a farm outside of Nhill, continuing the Hindmarsh Landcare Network's now-defunct Project Hindmarsh.

Eight dedicated Melbourne green thumbs spent the weekend at Robin Harding's property to replace 500 native plants.
Natives were first planted on the farm in 2019; however, they all died due to a drought and flood in the months that followed.
Spokesperson Gary Spivak said the group was determined to continue the good work of Project Hindmarsh.
"A group of us Melbourne volunteers were determined to continue our tree planting in the Mallee, as we loved the Mallee," he said.
"We wanted to continue helping to revegetate parts of it with indigenous plants.
"Our annual tree planting was a highlight of the year."
Mr Spivak said the plants were grown by Desert Blooms in Dimboola, mainly based on the 2019 planting list.
"We are keen to continue annual tree planting each winter on different farm properties.
"We all love the Mallee, have formed a deep connection to it, and wish to continue to undertake tree planting on an annual basis to help revegetate bits of the region, and support local insect and bird life."
