Hopetoun Patchwork and Powerhouse exhibition

All are welcome to the exhibition and launch of the three community quilted banners "GROWTH", made by the patchwork group and friends on Friday, August 22.

Doors open at 7pm with presentations to the Shire representatives at 7.30pm.

Demonstrations of recycling from junk into art by Wal Ferguson, local farmer, magician and maker of all things, who will be collaborating with Alice Gove, mixed media artist from Mildura. 

Faye Smith, former Hopetoun teacher and journalist, will demonstrate making baskets from recycled clothing.

Olinda Poulton, a former Hopetoun resident, now from Shepparton, will demonstrate her denim bags made from old denim jeans.

She is also exhibiting her costumes made from recycled agricultural material from August 22-26.

Many other works that have been recyled and renewed will be on show during the exhibition.

Pam Clugston from 'Kaye's Kollection' in Hopetoun will exhibit a variety of barbed wire and fencing wire 'objects d'art'.
