Horsham's Pothole Patrol joins Riverina Outback Rally
A trio of Wimmera vehicles have joined a massive convoy travelling across outback New South Wales to raise vital funds for families battling cancer.

Horsham’s Pothole Patrol, Rainbow Warriors from Rainbow and St Arnaud’s Road Runners made their way to Wagga Wagga on the weekend to take part in the 2026 Riverina Outback Rally.
Running from March 9-13, the trio are part of an 80-car five-day adventure to Bendemeer.
Brad Barber of Pothole Patrol said the rally will keep the participants on their toes from day one.
“The teams will cover 2500km over the course of the journey,” he said.
“However, teams only find out each morning where they are headed.”
Sharing the driving with team captain Dean Pfeiffer, the pair has raised more than $5000, forming part of a massive donation to a trust that provides services to rural children diagnosed with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
“This year, the rally has already raised over $560,000 this year for County Hope, which supports children with terminal and serious illnesses,” he said.
“At each stop, the rally also raises money for other causes.
“This year's auction proceeds - over $17,000 - were directed to a Wagga Wagga charity and a local family who tragically lost their husband and father.”
Mr Barber said the shared goals of the 80 teams, along with the successful first fundraiser, lifted the team's spirits on the first night of the rally.
