Homers and the Dunmunkle Renegades also claimed wins.

The under 14s competition did not take place due to Saturday morning’s thunderstorms.

Playing at City Oval, the Saints won the toss and elected to bat against the Bullants, totalling 3/131 from 22 overs.

Alan Kuriakose smashed 10 boundaries as he finished retired not out with 50 off just 23 balls, while Jackson Tuohey (22) and Hunter Schmidt (20 not out) made valuable contributions.

For the Bullants, Jack Combe (1/7) and Oscar Combe (1/11) were among the pick of the bowlers.

Despite Joshua Price (41 not out) and Milton Ellis (10 not out) nearly pulling off some late-inning heroics, the Saints held on to win as the Bullants finished with 5/127.

Jeremy Fischer scored 22 in the Bullants’ innings, while Jackson Tuohey led the Saints with the ball with figures of 2/11.

At Sunnyside Recreation Reserve, Homers elected to bat against the Tigers, and finished with 7/86 from 22 overs.

Phoenix Hopper (20), Henry Walsgott (19) and Finn Arnel (16 not out) were the main contributors with the bat for Homers.

Ryan Steadman finished with impressive figures of 2/5 for the Tigers, while Bailey Dridan (1/1), Arkie Mackley (1/1) and Finn Shannon (1/2) provided key wickets and economical bowling.

Openers Joel Plazzer (36) and Callum Jackson (19) got the Tigers’ run chase off to a great start, but consistent wickets got Homers right back into the contest.

The Tigers needed 10 runs in the last two overs to win, but a Phoenix Hopper maiden over and a four-run wicket over from Finn Arnel restricted the Tigers to 9/81, giving the home side a five-run win.

Arlo Pope and Jazz Hopper were among the key bowlers for Homers, as they finished with 3/10 and 2/16, respectively.

At Rupanyup Recreation Reserve, the Dunminkle Renegades elected to bat against the Blackheath Dimboola Bulls.

Hugh Weidemann (52 retired not out) and Luke Weidemann (48) put on 106 runs together to lift the Renegades to 4/149 in 22 overs, with Finnian Delahunty adding 17 not out late in the innings.

Albert Schorback led the Bulls with figures of 2/11, while Lenny Clark (1/25) provided the other bowling wicket.

With just eight batsmen, the Bulls were bowled out for 50 in the 14th over, led by 23 not out from Lenny Eldridge.

Six bowlers shared the wickets for the Renegades, led by Ryder Hudson (2/3), Jake McKenzie (1/1) and Braxton Starick (1/2).
