Artist James Voller also visited the site recently with his engineer to plan the upcoming internal art installation inside the eastern silo bin, the one closest to the tower.

The elevator installation is now the key outstanding item, as construction continues.

The builder is awaiting a date from Kone, expected sometime in October, with the process to take three to four weeks.

Once the elevator is in place, the platforms will be painted with non-slip paint, as the stairs are already complete, and the builder’s work will then be essentially finished.

Following that stage, Mr Voller will schedule the internal art installation.

Council stated that site works are also continuing alongside these preparations.
