Rainbow’s Grey Wolf Cub heading for Scouts

WHILE many Cubs transition into Scouts, Rainbow’s Jasper Bigham, 11, is one of the very few to do so having earned the Grey Wolf Award.
The Grey Wolf Award is the pinnacle award for Cub Scouts and represents a level of dedication and perseverance. It has taken three years of hard work for Jasper to achieve, and is the only Cub badge which he will carry into his future as a Scout.
Jasper has been a member of the Rainbow Cub Scouts since May 2019.
Jasper achieved his Grey Wolf Award in December of last year, but the presentation ceremony was postponed due to COVID-19.
“I thought Cubs was about going on camps and learning stuff, but it is so much more than that,” Jasper said in his acceptance speech on Friday night.
“Thank you to (Cub Scout leaders) Akela and Gunner for all that they've done for me at Cubs. I'm looking forward to Scouts.”

“We hope Jasper has had a great time, and would like to congratulate him on receiving the Grey Wolf Award,” said Akela Claire Roll.
“If you are interested in adventures and the outdoors, we would love to hear from you. We are hoping someone will take on the Scout Leader Role, so the Scouts will have their own Leader.”
Cubs and Scouts meet together Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 5pm, at the Rainbow Scout Hall.
